The Medieval Festival was a sight to see. They had decorated the whole town as a movie set, covering anything from the last few hundred years with old statues, wood, bark or anything else they could find. Most of the locals were dressed up and I even saw a middle-aged couple get married in traditional medieval ceremony with parade. The bride had spent months making all the guests costumes, while the groom had been banging away in his workshop making swords and suits of armour. Now I've never been a bride myself but by all accounts a wedding is stressful enough without coordinating the Italian flag throwers (yum yum girls!), marching drummers and 100 costumes involved in this wedding.
