Antigua, Guatemala
5 Stars  This place was Amazing
I have had a wonderful time in Antigua. This city is like an oasis in the country. Its spanish architecture gives this city a special charme.

Try a coffee or a self made lemonade at Café Condesa.

On tuesdays the women sell Tamales in the streets, in private houses and in some local bars. Try them, they are delicious. Look out for red lamps at the houses, there you can buy them.

On thursadays go to the washing place closed to Obras Sociales Hermano Pedro. There you will find people selling Ceviches (prawns in a lemon-Worcester sauce with coriander).

Have some bavarian food at Bar & Jardin Bavaria, the german owner Klaus (a bavarian, what else...) sells bavarian white saussages, Brezl, Sauerkraut and more. His onion soup is also delicious. Try a dark beer named Mozza, but please dont put the blame on me, when you wake up with a headache next morning ;-)

And if you are looking for a volunteer job, ask at Obras Sociales Hermano Pedro.
