The zip line through the cloud forest
Arrived at Monteverde taking a bus with one loco driver 3 times I thought we were goners going over the cliff. Found a place called >Hotel Tucan with nice tiny rooms and promptly began to freeze my huevos off! Just so you know they call it a cloud forest becuase it is in a DAMN cloud. It was misty every day (your inside the cloud) and I had no coat and only one long sleeve shirt. I got gutsy the next day and decided to take the zip line tour. Okay I had done this many times before but never anything this crazy since being hurt. To tell the truth I was a little nervous. Not becuase of the hieghts but would I be able to finish? I went to a place called adventura they hooked me up and I explained I was a bit crippeled they said no problema. I got on the first wire with a ittle help from the guides and off I went! All told their were 15 slides and they were incredible two are a 1000 meters long and cross a huge valley, incredible!!! The only hard part I found was climing a steep &%$@#$ hill to the last zip line back. I made it and will count it as a highlight of my trip. From Monteverde I took the next bus to Liberia. On the way down the mountain our bus broke down!! it plugged the narrow mountain road and all the guys got off and pushed to the side so other vehicles could pass. Lucky for us a chcken bus came by about 10 min. later and we were off. I stayed in Liberia for a night(again at hotel Liberia). Then took the bus to Managua where I could hook up with a bus to La Ceiba Hunduras, They bay islands here I come!!!
