Jeff, I'm sorry. It was your blog title that i just shamefully nicked but i had a haircut today and it's 36 degrees, what else could more aptly describe things? As it turns out, he was not even close to 'on fire' cutting hair at a pedestrian pace in an air conditioned salon, but i bloody was after walking the streets for half an hour, so much so that after feeling my neck, he gave me an ice cold towel to cool myself down with. Heat like this is not nice, it's not comfortable and at one stage i just dived inside a pharmacy with the intention of buying nothing just to take advantage of the air conditioning. I stood right underneath the air conditioning unit and to be honest, i was quite prepared for them to throw me out. Social embarassment would have been nothing to sweating profusely and feeling like my head was going to come off. I'm sick and tired of this blistering heat and humidity. Well, not much to report really over the past couple of days. Yesterday i did very little and Mark did even less laid up in bed with what i suspected was a hangover from hell. It turns out, the boy is actually sick...we went to the pharmacy to get him sorted out today, some kind of bacterial infection apparentley. The very bad news for him is that he can't drink for 5 days, which i know i'd find hard. I'm not feeling too great myself either with an attack of 'bum wee' coming regularly throughout the day and a general feeling of Nausea. Going to the hairdresser's is actually the only thing of note i've done over the past couple of days...but we've put a plan together to do some more cultural stuff over the next few days before we leave bangkok, which includes the snake farm, the palace and some Thai Boxing!

Oh, one other thing is that i've been offered a suit more times than i care to remember and one particular guy thinks he might persuade me to buy from him by putting on a cockney accent and calling me 'mate', 'buddy' and saying 'cor blimey geezer' and 'lovely jubbly' all the time. Even if i was from London i still wouldn't want one of his poxy suits! And finally i was forced to make small talk with three 'masseurs' last night whilst waiting for Mark to emerge from the internet cafe. They were friendly enough though and even let me use their leaflets as fans as i was clearly struggling with the heat. I'm really not sure if they were offering more than a massage, but i wasn't willing to find out. Hopefully more interesting stuff will follow in the next couple of days
