Cycling through fish farm
I have been to Thailand seven times now, and this trip must have been the most rewarding of my holiday. The tour started to cycling on the back street of Bangkok, things were so unorganized, chaos but charismatic. Our tour guide said to me 'there is no rule here, the rules are fluid and meant to be broken,' first, it was crazy when she said, but you understand it later when you go along.
Then, we stopped at the local market filled with all local goods; Thai herbs, live bugs, forgs, etc.
After that we took a local train to countryside. There was where we talking--the beautiful landscapes (rice feilds everywhere), welcoming smile from local, the head of the villages's family, thai luch at the local house, farmers, fish & shrimp farm, fruit plantation and visit the local school and temple. Being in the classroom was fantastic, the children are well behave and tried to speak/ask us a lot of questions, the tour guide also the teacher at this school so at the same time of our interaction, she actually trying to guided these children to practice their English at the same time--fantastic idea.
A good insigt into local lives filled with good food, air and friendly smiles. Thank you Absolute Explorer Team, without you we will probably find the unknown Thailand.
Anyone should try this trip, it worths every penny you spend. I can't recommended highly. The tour also documented us during the trip. Visit my journey at www.absoluteexplorer.com and click on 'daily picture' box.
