Kanibadam means city of Almond. Back to 1999, I got a chance to join an exchange student programe called 'IAESTE'. This programe basically is to exchange University students from around the world to train in the field that they study. I was the one who joined this programe. Kanibadam is a small city about 2 hr drive from Khujand. The buildings still have USSR style. It's a quite city. Food and goods are cheap, ( quality is just ok). People are nice and friendly.
