This place was Great

This was just a quick stop to break up the trip to Phnom Pehn. We took a dusty four hour bus ride to get here, and after a couple of stops we found an ok place to stay.
For our first order of business we did a bit of exploring. We walked a couple of kilometers to the river where we got suckered into a one hour boat cruise around the floating village. The girl was nice, but was much more interested in playing with her son than driving the boat. We were putting along so slowly, and as soon as she saw me getting ready to take a photo she backed the motor off to idle which caused the boat to shake so much that most of the shots are blurry! It was nice though to see all the floating houses and boats. After our boat cruise we walked across this rickety old bridge over the river into a small community of river-side homes on stilts. The children all came roaring out to us to shout Hello, and a few kids very proudly showed us how they could count to five in English! It was a very enjoyable part of the day. The adults were all looking very curiously at us, but we never got the sense that we weren't welcome to pass through.
The day we boarded a bus to go the rest of the way to Phnom Pehn, the Capital.
