I was actually sitting at my desk in Dallas, TX when my cell phone rang. I didn't recognize the number so I wasn't going to answer the call but I decided to anyway. To my astonishment it was my brother Kelley who was in a bus traveling through Niger and was at the time in this village of Dogondoutchi. It is about 130 miles east of the capitol, Niamey, where he resides. He said they were making a quick stop in Dogondoutchi so people on the bus could pray. There's not much to see here, just flat arid land with schrubs and clay huts adorned with thatched roofs. Even though he said there are better places to be in Africa, I would rather be in Dogondoutchi than sitting at my desk working in Dallas, TX. Late.
