The Temple of Philae
The pictures speak for themselves. It was really beautiful. Apparently they moved it from its original location when they created the High Dam and flooded what is now Lake Nassar. As it is on an island you must take a small watercraft to reach it. It offers up amazing views of the Temple.
Granite Quarries
This might be something missed if you are not careful, but I recommend it. It shows you how the ancient Egyptians created many of the large statues and momuments. There is the unfinished oblesik which we estimated would weigh something like 150 tons (or was it 150 thousand tons?) In any weight cateory, it is really big!
